HR Manager | FMCG | Family-Run Business | North Dublin
A well-established Irish-run FMCG business in North Dublin is seeking an experienced HR Manager, this is a key strategic leadership role, reporting to the Managing Director and Operations Director, and suited to someone who genuinely enjoys the pace and closeness of an SME or family-business environment.
This is very much a hands-on role; you'll own the HR function end to end while leading a small HR team.
Responsibility’s
- Strategy and leadership: partner with senior management to shape and deliver HR strategy, advise on workforce planning, organisational development and change, and drive continuous improvement across the function.
- Policy and compliance, ensuring contracts, handbooks and HR documentation current with Irish employment legislation, and develop policies
- Experience in employee relations, including grievances, disciplinaries and conflict resolution, while promoting a culture built on trust and accountability.
- Lead end-to-end hiring and onboarding, and coach managers on appraisals, development and performance standards.
- Oversee day-to-day HR, payroll and benefits, manage the Workforce Planning system, and lead wellbeing initiatives that support retention.
- Oversee H&S management systems and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- 5+ years’ experience in an HR Manager role or similar, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- CIPD membership
- Strong strategic and operational HR capability
- Experience in Payroll and Sage
- Experience advises and influence owner-managed leadership teams
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a pragmatic, commercially aware approach
- FMCG or fast-paced industry experience an advantage
